Context

Heat exchangers are critical in industrial and energy plants, impacting energy efficiency, operational costs, and emissions. Many existing units suffer from limited heat transfer, fouling, corrosion, and high maintenance needs. New materials, advanced designs, innovative thermal fluids, and additive manufacturing offer opportunities to improve performance and sustainability.

Opportunity

Assess emerging technologies and innovative solutions for processing and cooling heat exchangers to boost thermal efficiency, reduce costs, and increase reliability. The study should identify technically and economically viable options across different temperature ranges and operating conditions.

What are we looking for

Identification and evaluation of advanced technologies, including new designs, materials, thermal fluids, manufacturing methods, and smart systems, that enhance heat exchanger performance. Proposals should include a comparative technical and economic analysis, classify solutions by temperature range (high, medium, low, and cooling systems) and TRL, and identify potential developers or suppliers in Spain, Europe, or globally for future collaboration.
