Cepsa commitment, as part of Positive Motion strategy, is processing upto 15% of renewable and circular raw materials in our energy parks by 2030.Fast or slow pyrolysis of plastics represents one of the main technologies toconsider to be applied for its proven contribution of reduction of wasteplastics. Most of the plastic wastes in the municipal solid wastes are highdensity polyethylene (HDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE), and polypropylene(PP). Different yield of gas, pyrolysis liquids and char has been found fordifferent type of plastic used. The char (yields 20-30%) is considered asby-product and its optimization of final uses of more value-added productscould lead to final decisions with better profitability of the whole process.

Current applications: activated carbon, carbonnanotubes, watering materials
