IMDEA Water
IMDEA Water is a non-profit organisation, constituted as a Foundation. It belongs to the network of IMDEA Institutes set up in 2006 by the Community of Madrid and its purpose is to carry out relevant research in all aspects related to water.
The objective of IMDEA Water is to generate knowledge in order to provide solutions that contribute to the water sustainability of the planet.

IMDEA Energy
The IMDEA Energy Institute was created by the regional Government of ‘Comunidad de Madrid’ with the aim of promoting energy-related R&D activities that contribute to addressing global challenges in energy sustainability.
Institute IMDEA Energy is strongly committed to the effective transfer of R&D results to the productive sector and aims to join efforts, both with other research centers and universities, in order to promote excellence in research on energy issues favoring complementarity between the different organizations.
IMDEA Energy has been awarded in 2020 with the accreditation as Unit of Excellence María de Maeztu by the National Agency of Research of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation as one of the best Spanish research centers.
