This patent consist in a procedure that makes it possible to neutralize the potential contaminant of metal-mining residues from the physical-chemical extraction of the mining industry, which are particularly dangerous due to their potentially acidic characteristics. This solution favors the obtaining of non-structural concrete or mortar, suitable for multiple applications as a construction element in land or maritime works, as well as cladding, bollards, sidewalks, flower pots or other uses in both public and private spaces. This solution has two key steps. In a first stage, the previous stabilization of the metal mineral extraction residues (REMM) not subjected to thermal treatment is carried out and in the second, mixtures of materials are applied to prepare the final mortar that has optimal resistance properties, thus allowing its use. as a by-product in the field of construction. The patented solution makes it possible to obtain an inert and ecological material from said hazardous waste, destined to be used as a construction material and to which the 'green' label can be awarded given its environmental qualities. In addition, the final products obtained comply as non-structural concrete according to EHE-08, a regulation currently applicable to this type of concrete, which, added to its quality of preventing the transfer of contaminants to the environment, makes them optimal for use as products in the construction field. The proposal offers a solution to the problem derived from the large accumulation and storage of these residues in tailings and dumps of mining operations that are likely to produce serious environmental pollution problems due to the very dangerous substances they contain. To the environmental advantages that this proposal supposes, we must add the economic and social ones, since the invention allows to obtain value-added products with industrial applications from residues whose management, as hazardous waste, supposes to date a cost to the producers and to the the administration. It could also be a source of generating new jobs.
This invention offers the following advantages: - It allows the reuse of waste that presents serious environmental problems, promoting the Circular Economy, which is based on recent national and European initiatives, such as the `European Circular Economy Strategy 2030´ or the `European Green Act - It makes it possible to obtain value-added products with industrial applications from waste whose management, as hazardous waste, to date represents a cost to producers and the administration. - It facilitates a greater availability of raw materials by drastically reducing the exploitation of natural resources, reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and favoring less dependence on the import of said raw materials. - It entails the regeneration of highly degraded spaces - Supports the creation of new markets and jobs
