Gelled microspheres for the vehicleization and release of therapeutic agents
P202131025
A new method has been developed for the synthesis of gelled microspheres that allows the homogeneous incorporation of biologically active compounds, making them of special interest for their use due to their activity per se or as a vehicle for them. Unlike other common excipients, these microspheres are resistant to enzymatic degradation, stable, biocompatible, safe, mucoadhesive, and allow a controlled and prolonged release of active compounds.
Homogeneous encapsulation of biologically active compounds (drugs, cosmetics or nutraceuticals). Greater resistance and stability. Biocompatible, safe, with improved mucoadhesiveness, and ideal penetration and rheological properties. Sustained and prolonged release of the compounds. Improved organoleptic properties and palatability. Easily scalable to industry. Reduced production costs. Useful for the treatment of a wide variety of infections: oral, nasal, bladder, rectal or vaginal infections.
