Applications

- The fact that it is a phenomenon that occurs naturally and the high amount of energy put into play (in the form of latent heat of water vaporization) makes this process very interesting within the situation of enhancing energy efficiency and energy saving that we are currently experiencing; - equipment easy to operate and maintain; - minimum energy consumption; the cooling capacity is provided by the evaporation of water, so the energy consumption will come only from the auxiliary systems (if they exist); - small economic investment, the use of a wet surface or wetting medium further reduces the investment compared to systems that require exchangers, water sprays or specific fillings. The device object of the invention has the following advantages: - The proposed process cools and humidifies the ambient air, but mainly operates on the radiant temperature of the space to be conditioned. - Due to its design, it would also allow it to be used as a shade or shielding element as well as a radiant element with almost zero energy consumption. - system without accumulation or recirculation of water. It would work directly with tap water, which is already treated for human consumption. - when working with water at mains pressure, it does not require an additional pump. - By not excessively humidifying the ambient air, an installation adapted to interior spaces can be considered. The indoor system would be easy to apply to existing buildings as well as new ones.
