SOLAR AND SHADOW POSITION VERIFIER DEVICE INTENDED TO BE ATTACHED TO A SOLAR PANEL PROFILE
P2021130017 (Patent request)
The present invention can be included within the technical field of solar energy, in particular in the field of devices for measuring and verifying the solar position and the measurement of shadows in photovoltaic solar panels. More specifically, the object of the invention refers to a portable and autonomous device, hooked to different types of solar panel profiles, which by means of a crosshead provided with photoresists arranged coplanar with respect to the solar panel, allow the crosshead casts shadows on the photoresists when the incident light is not perpendicular to the solar panel, thus being able to mediate or evaluate whether the panel is in the optimal position for solar tracking, as well as evaluating shadows caused by elements in the environment and hours without incident radiation.

At present, and as a reference to the state of the art, it should be noted that different types of sensors or optimum positioning instruments for solar panels are known that are directly connected to the control system of the tracking mechanism. However, an integrated instrument or sensor that allows remote verification of optimal positioning, and consequently the correct functioning of the tracking system, is unknown. On the other hand, the monitoring of the production parameters of the solar panels is carried out centrally, normally by series, but the presence of shadows or the detection of faults in the monitoring system is obtained indirectly through the calculation of the reduction of energy produced, but it is not possible to discern the cause of the decrease in production, for example, to locate exactly on which panel the shadows that invalidate the production of a row of panels are located. These drawbacks are solved by our invention. Industrial application: energy sector, renewable energies, solar panel manufacturers.
