A reconfigurable 3D structure capable of manipulating electromagnetic waves has been developed for the first time, allowing it to perform electromagnetic wave redirection and power absorption at the same time. This simultaneous functionality capability provides great versatility for use in a wide range of frequencies, and can be used in multiple applications, such as in the field of mobile communications or for radar technology.
