System of indication of the state of traffic signals, for people with visual disabilities, which uses optical communications based on lighting networks. The present invention relates to a system for indicating the status of traffic signals, for people with visual impairment, using optical communications based on lighting networks comprising at least one emitting device (1), an optical-electric transceiver ( 3), a control device, an electric-acoustic or headset transceiver (5) and a storage/power supply device characterized in that at least one device is located in the led lamp for lighting a traffic signal and superimposes a data signal (2), which picks up the code of the traffic signal (green or red, crossing or not crossing), on the standard light signal of the led lamp of the traffic signal, supplying the receiver with at least information of the type position and route to follow.

Las ventaja de la presente invención, es que ayuda a personas con deficiencias visuales, indicándoles el estado de las señales de tráfico en el momento actual, es un método de señalización urbano basado en sistemas de comunicaciones Ópticas no guiadas, en el mercado hay distintos tipos de señalizaciones mayoritariamente acústicos, estos pueden ser interferidos por el ruido del entorno, mientras que este novedoso sistema permite comunicaciones ópticas basadas en redes de iluminación, las cuales facilitan la identificación de varias señales urbanas a la vez. En el ámbito comercial esta invención va dirigida tanto al sector público como privado.
