PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR USE IN TREATING INFLAMMATORY DISEASES

The results presented in this document demonstrate that a pharmaceutical composition comprising eprinomectin is capable of interacting with peripheral blood mononuclear cells. More specifically, it is shown that eprinomectin is capable of reducing the levels of the proinflammatory cytokine IL-1p (example 3) and also reduces the levels of the proinflammatory cytokine TNF-a (example 4), both in cells from healthy donors as well as from patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and who were recently diagnosed. Furthermore, it is shown that the pharmaceutical composition comprising eprinomectin shows no toxicity (example 2).
