The invention provides a robotic device comprising a main body (10) with a reel (2) and an extendable element, characterized in that the extendable element comprises a plate (1) with a first end anchored in the center of the reel and a second end. It also comprises an end element (3) with a plate inlet (4) for receiving the plate, a guide (5) for modifying the orientation of the plate, and a plate outlet (6) for ejecting the plate in an outlet direction that forms an angle between 150° and 210° with respect to the reception direction. Finally, it comprises a fixing point (7) located on the main body (10), where the second end of the plate (1) is anchored after it has exited through the plate outlet of the end element. The robotic device further comprises an extraction element (8), configured to wind and unwind the plate.
Being an extremely lightweight and compact robotic system, it allows for the rapid deployment of a complete automation system composed of several robots, with almost no initial investment and no need for manual labor. The invention's applications span a wide range of industries: from 3D printers and robotic manipulators for the food and aerospace sectors, to virtually any application where a planar industrial robot could be used, but with a significant reduction in space requirements and initial investment.
