PHOTOCURABLE COMPOSITE MATERIAL OF SHREDDED STRAW FROM CEREAL CULTIVATION FOR USE IN STEREOLITHOGRAPHY AND PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING IT
PCT/ES2022/070404
The invention relates to a new material for use in stereolithography consisting of a mixture formed by an amount ≤15% by weight of rice straw, wheat straw or a mixture of both, to a photocurable resin that acts as a matrix. One of the main aspects of the invention is that the light-curing resin does not lose its light-curing quality when added to the rice straw and/or wheat straw, which provides an alternative use for this bio-residue. The invention also refers to a process for the 3D printing of objects comprising the crushing of the cereal straw, its sieving by size, the mixing in different percentages with the photocurable polymeric matrix and its processing using the stereolithography technique.

This procedure is scalable at an industrial level, and can be carried out on small and large format 3D photopolymerization 3D printers. Commercialisation of end-products would be another economic activity potentially attractive arisen as a consequence of the invention.
