SYSTEM FOR CAPTURING AND INACTIVATING PATHOGENS
WO22074268
The proposed invention relates to a system that allows pathogenic biological agents in fluids (gases or liquids) to be captured and inactivated by passing same through one or more regulatable, configurable treatment areas. The combination of the different types of areas, steps and stages allows the device to be adapted for functions such as capturing substances or organisms, inactivating pathogenic agents, capturing and inactivating chemical substances, additivation and humidification. The system can be used as a testing device, allowing study of the ability of the different physical and chemical treatments and analysis of the contact times and surfaces required in order to capture and inactivate pathogenic biological agents in a continuous flow of gases or liquids. The system, in one of its simplest embodiments, is able to deactivate microorganisms, including SARS-Cov-2, in a flow of air, with an efficiency of 99.99 percent

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES - Inactivation of pathogens. The system presented not only captures pathogens, but also has the capacity to deactivate them quickly and effectively, even in a continuous flow. This feature makes it a safe device when handling and maintenance in general for collective or individual protection of people who may be in environments with risk of contamination. - Versatility. It is modular and configurable depending on the type of pathogens to be treated. Its adaptability makes it possible to analyze and determine the combination of the different types of treatment stages or zones so that the device can be adjusted to our requirements, thus making it possible to determine the tailor-made configuration necessary to perform a specific function and subsequently consolidate it - Safety. It allows a safe configuration through the use of reservoir and safety valves for pressure control, allowing for hospital use of approved elements in direct contact with the patient and the possibility of use as a barrier between patients and inactivating agents by means of hydraulic seal and barrier with external elements. The pressure drop generated by the device can be zero or configurable by means of known and standardized pressure regulating valves. - Low production cost. - Application as a testing system compatible with multiple disinfectant agents.
