Plate for proton polymeric membrane electrolyzer of improved efficiency with at least one active face, the active face comprises an inlet and an outlet orifice in communication with several parallel channels through a transition zone, each channel has a width, a height, a length and a separation between channels, the channels and the transition zone configure the flooded zone, the separation between consecutive channels is constant, the width is 1-5 mm, the height is 1-5 mm, the flooded zone remains limited by a first and second lateral side, by a first section inclined 15º-20º, a second section inclined 5º-12º, a third section inclined 5º-12º and a fourth section inclined 15º-20º. The plates can be made of stainless steel with a coating layer of Ti/TiN by magnetron sputtering (MS) or Ta/TaN by high power pulsed magnetron sputtering (HiPPIMS)
