A large number of industry sectors require the uninterrupted operation of different types of machinery. Any damage means production delays and economic losses. Therefore, constant monitoring is of vital importance to identify possible failures and remedy them before they lead to permanent damage. The Mechanical Design Group (GDM) of the University of Antioquia developed an electronic device for the measurement and processing of vibration signals of rotating machinery, supported by specialized software. The software provides the global vibration values and the velocity and acceleration spectra for machinery diagnostics.
