High-efficiency system for hot water production from low-temperature heat effluents
ES2954788
The system is basically composed by a heat exchanger (HE), a water-water heat pump, even though this layout could be used within air-water systems. In this system, water coming from the network flows through the recuperation heat exchanger in countercurrent flow against the grey water flow previously accumulated into the grey water storage tank. After the first heating in the exchanger, water heads to the heat pump condenser where it is heated up until the required supply temperature. Grey water , which allowed the first heating, flows from the outlet of the HE to the evaporator inlet of the heat pump, where it is cooled down by the refrigerant. The innovative HE configuration which includes an accumulator tank located at the EVAP outlet and allows the temperature difference control more precise. The heat pump incorporates a control algorithm of the electronic expansion valve that permits to work at the optimal subcooling point under whatever operation conditions at any time.
ADVANTAGES - High heat recovery from every low temperature effluent with minimum additional power consumption. - Suitable to replace gas heaters currently used. - Optimized and adaptable to the demand control from the heat pump. - Innovative temperature difference control system that allows continuous operation at the optimal point. - System qualifying as a renewable energy system for the production of hot water in accordance with European Directive 2009/28/EC. BUSINESS APPLICATIONS: - Climatization, heat pumps and domestic hot water production (DHW) sectors can use it in applications that use gas for the hot water production. In residential buildings or others whose hot water supply request reaches up to 90ºC."
