This solution combines the two functionalities: a solar thermal collector and a radiative cooler, requiring an adaptive cover. This cover is transparent to solar radiation and opaque to longwave radiation at daytime, allowing solar collection and reducing heat losses, and transparent to long-wave radiation at night-time, facilitating radiative cooling. The solution has a similar geometry and composition as a solar thermal collector with an improved adaptive cover. It preserves the simplicity and efficiency of solar thermal collectors, and a similar production cost, adding and extra cooling production, making it more cost-effective.
