Photocatalytic procedure for the production of methanol by CO2 hydrogenation
P202430500
The object of the present invention is a material containing Ni nanoparticles supported on a solid with a high specific surface area, which is capable of promoting the hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol with high selectivity when illuminated with UV-Vis-NIR light at a power equal to or greater than one sun, under conditions of pressure above 10 bar and temperature above 100ºC.
ADVANTAGES - The material efficiently promotes the hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol, offering a targeted approach for converting greenhouse gases into valuable compounds. - Robust performance: Functions effectively under high-pressure (≥10 bar) and high-temperature (≥100°C) conditions. BUSINESS APPL. Applicable to chemichal industry using even renewable energy systems for converting CO2 into methanol, a valuable fuel and chemical feedstock.
