Reversible procedure for storing-releasing hydrogen in liquid form
P202230632
The invention relates in particular to a procedure for storing hydrogen using organic liquids (LOHCs). The reversible process is carried out through electrocatalytic dehydrogenation of amines at room temperature and catalytic hydrogenation of nitriles at low temperatures and moderate pressures with a high hydrogen storage capacity (up to 6.9% by weight). In the present invention, heterogeneous catalysts are used to ensure the viability of storage, as well as reuse and recycling. The procedure uses hydrogen carriers that are abundant, widely used in industrial applications, non-toxic and with a high hydrogen storage capacity (6% by weight). The system developed is ideal for storing hydrogen for long periods of time at zero cost and for transporting hydrogen over medium to long distances.

Technical advantages Reversible system: - It allows hydrogen to be stored for long periods of time at zero cost. - The system has a large capacity for hydrogen storage by weight (6%). - The hydrogen reconversion stages are carried out at room temperature. Sectors for commercial application: - The invention is applicable to companies engaged in the production and marketing of energy storage and transport solutions. - Companies interested in hydrogen technologies.
