The invention describes a herbicide formulation based on ortho-disulfides, to increase phytotoxicity and bioavailability, and the possible use thereof by dissolving in water alone. The herbicide is encapsulated in metal-organic frameworks of zinc with 2-methylimidazole and is surface functionalised with 2-hydroxypropyl- beta -cyclodextrin. The formulation increases the aqueous solubility of disulfide eightfold, displays rapid release of the herbicide when a mildly acidic aqueous medium is applied, and improves the inhibition of the herbicide against weeds that mainly harm legumes, cereals and vegetables. Encapsulation improves inhibition of the growth of the stem and roots of weeds, and the product can be applied immediately as a pre-emergent herbicide.

Applications

This patent offers an option to use this new formulation offers the use of new herbicides using only water as a solvent, without the use of water as a solvent. only water as a solvent, without chemical modification of the structure. On the other hand, the synthesis of this formulation is carried out at room temperature and in two hours. The synthesis of this formulation is carried out at room temperature and in two hours, which emerges as a fast and inexpensive process.
