DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MEASURING A COATING COMPRISING BITUMINOUS BINDERS

The invention relates to a device and a method for measuring a coating containing bituminous binder on a surface (20) to which said coating containing bituminous binder has previously been applied. The device comprises a plate (11, 21) joined to a bar (13, 23) and covered with an absorbent material (12, 22), the assembly formed by the bar (13, 23), the plate (11, 21) and the absorbent material (12, 22) being designed so as to exert pressure on said surface (20). Said absorbent material (12, 22) covers the side of the plate (11, 21) that is to be in contact with said surface (20) in such a way that, when pressure is exerted on said surface (20) impregnated with bituminous binder, said material (12, 22) absorbs a quantity of the applied coating.
