Además, es un procedimiento sostenible, ya que se desarrolla a presión atmosférica y temperatura ambiente, utilizando disolventes no tóxicos y proporcionando una extracción cuantitativa de carotenoides en una única etapa de equilibrio entre la biomasa vegetal y el disolvente
