AIRISO

AIRISO is a patented modular insulation panel for flat roofs that integrates a continuous, naturally ventilated air cavity within the insulation layer itself.
Unlike conventional inverted roofs, which tend to trap and store heat in high-solar-radiation climates, AIRISO uses passive air ventilation to dissipate heat before it reaches the structural slab.
The panel geometry creates a permanent air chamber that promotes natural convection (wind and stack effect), significantly reducing roof overheating, lowering indoor temperatures, and protecting the waterproofing membrane from thermal stress.
AIRISO combines thermal insulation and passive cooling in a single constructive element, offering the performance of ventilated roofs with the simplicity and cost efficiency of conventional roof insulation systems.

AIRISO is designed for flat roofs in warm, subtropical and high-solar-radiation climates, both in new construction and in roof retrofitting.
Its main applications include residential buildings, hotels, public buildings, schools, offices and industrial facilities where roof overheating leads to poor thermal comfort and high cooling demand.
The product can be installed using standard construction techniques, similarly to conventional inverted roofs, and can be manufactured in different materials depending on regulatory and market needs.
In practice, AIRISO enables more energy-efficient, resilient and comfortable buildings by providing a low-cost, passive alternative to traditional ventilated roof systems, especially suited for climate-change adaptation and energy-saving strategies.
