Caelus

Caelus incorporates one of the first AI-powered pharmacovigilance engines specifically developed for the Portuguese reality. This real-time, on-device artificial intelligence algorithm detects all clinically relevant adverse interactions (drug–drug, drug–food, drug–herb/supplement, drug–alcohol) and automatically adjusts risk severity according to the individual patient’s clinical profile (age, sex, weight, renal and hepatic function, pregnancy, pregnancy, comorbidities, concomitant therapies, etc.).
All processing occurs 100 % locally on the user’s smartphone, ensuring complete data privacy and granting full patient control — no clinical information ever leaves the device without explicit consent.

Caelus functions as a secure bridge between the Portuguese National Health Service (SNS), patients, and private healthcare providers. Patients centrally register and maintain their complete clinical and medication records (SNS and private prescriptions, OTC drugs, supplements, herbs, food/alcohol interactions) and can share this structured information instantly and securely with any clinician via a Single use code.
The app delivers immediate, personalised safety alerts to doctors and patients while simultaneously providing healthcare providers with an accurate, up-to-date medication profile the moment consent is granted. This dramatically increases medication safety, reduces adverse drug events, prevents unnecessary hospital admissions, and saves valuable consultation time across public and private care settings, all with absolute respect for patient privacy.
