DBOIDS-Digital Twin Boids fire prevention System

The DBoidS project – Digital Twin Boids Fire Prevention System, developed in partnership with the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC), aims to develop a technological solution for the prevention, detection, and support of forest firefighting. The solution is based on the autonomous and cooperative use of drones, whose data feed digital forest models based on Digital Twins, supported by Artificial Intelligence techniques for risk identification and the simulation of future scenarios. The system was validated through a functional TRL 6 prototype, tested in collaboration with civil protection entities and institutional partners, contributing to more effective and sustainable forest management.
