Drone Radio Beacon
Patented (EP3639050B1 – RADIO BEACON SYSTEM granted EU-USA-CN) solution for drone localization and navigation. A single receiver for multiple antenna receiving systems for DOA estimation. With an IMU and a differential barometer, we can estimate the relative position between a RF transmitter and a receiver. We use both proprietary transmitters (CW at 5Ghz) and LTE/5G signals. It can be used for navigation with a range of 4-500m, and as direction beacon with a range of 2km. The system can be extended to WiFi signals, and dual-use application
GPS-independent navigation and localization for UAVs. Can be used where the GPS may fail (under bridges, near large infrastructures), where GPS is not present (tunnels, indoor, jammed), or where a complementary redundant system must be used such as Advanced Air Mobility applications.
