Drone wing with Continuous Carbon Fiber Injection

This wing was made using Continuous Fiber Injection Process (CFIP). Four 6 mm continuous carbon fiber reinforcements were injected with epoxy into channels of a 3D printed nylon shell, creating an ultra-lightweight 2,3m wingspan wing.

By combining 3D printing with continuous fiber composites via CFIP, we cut weight and boosted drone performance. CFIP enables optimized shapes, full fiber placement, and overcomes 3D printing limits by improving strength and joining parts without screws or adhesives.

This innovation benefits drones with superior strength, lightweight design, lower costs, faster time-to-market, and no molds. CFIP applies to any sector seeking high performance, differentiation, and cost-effective solutions.
