Electrochemical detection prototype based on the integration of functionalized membranes with magnetic materials (M@GO, Magnetic Graphene Oxide) and low-cost screen-printed sensors. The system allows the selective capture and simultaneous analysis of multiple families of drugs and drugs of abuse present in wastewater, surface or drinking. Its sustainable design and high sensitivity enable rapid, selective and environmentally friendly monitoring of emerging contaminants even at trace levels.

Applications

• Environmental monitoring in WWTPs and DWTPs for regulatory compliance.

• Early detection of drugs and drugs of abuse in wastewater for epidemiological surveillance and population consumption studies.

• Water quality control in agriculture, preventing the entry of emerging contaminants into crops and the food chain.

• Protection of aquatic ecosystems, identifying compounds that affect fauna and flora.

• Portable and low-cost tool for environmental technicians, laboratories, health authorities and companies in the water sector.
