Aurax (XPND Technologies), in collaboration with Hospital Vall d’Hebron and Institut Guttmann for clinical research and validation.

MouthX is the first fully intraoral, hands-free human–machine interface that translates tongue, jaw and head movements into high-precision digital commands through a patented magnetic sensing system. The device demonstrates that subtle oral biomechanics can be captured with micron-level accuracy and converted into a complete input paradigm equivalent to mouse and keyboard control, enabling a new category of wearable, user-adaptive interaction technology.

Applications

MouthX enables full digital autonomy for individuals with limited or no upper-limb mobility, allowing them to control smartphones, computers, tablets and smart environments with high precision and without external hardware. Beyond assistive use, the technology can be applied to hands-free control in professional, industrial or clinical settings where manual interaction is restricted, enhancing efficiency, safety and accessibility. It also provides a scalable platform for future hybrid neuro-physical interaction with non-invasive BCIs.
