PLH Bio-based Polymer Prototypes for Smart Agriculture

Development and industrial validation of PLH, a patented bio-based polyester platform with tunable mechanical, dielectric, and biodegradation properties.

The material enables controlled durability during use and controlled biodegradation at end-of-life, without additives or blends, and is compatible with standard industrial polymer processing technologies (TRL 6).

Sustainable plastic solutions for agriculture, including biodegradable agricultural mulching films, casings for IoT agricultural devices, controlled-release systems for bioactive compounds, and housings for agricultural sensors.

These applications replace fossil-based plastics while preventing microplastics pollution and maintaining industrial performance.
