SIGNATURE FOR THE PROGNOSIS OF BRAIN METASTASIS RELAPSE

The CNIO has developed a signature that allows the significant determination of the risk of relapse of brain metastasis after treatment. The inventors have found a method for the prognosis of brain metastasis relapse and to a kit useful in said prognosis based on a gene signature.
The inventors have found that analyzing the expression levels of the genes of the signature of the present invention in an isolated sample from a subject who underwent treatment, for example brain surgery, constitutes a reliable method for the prognosis of brain metastasis relapse in the subject. The signature of the present invention is therefore the basis of a reliable method and kit for the prognosis of brain metastasis relapse after treatment, and more particularly, after brain surgery.
