A semi-transparent photovoltaic module comprising a front and rear glass cover, an array of bifacial cells with a separation area between them and an array of rear refractive concentrators that concentrate the back light onto the rear face of the bifacial cells. The invention is particularly useful in photovoltaic agriculture applications for plantations requiring high levels of insolation, or for integration into buildings requiring high indoor lighting.
