Sustainable Development Goal:
Applications

Researchers have found that the purified pollen particles of the invention are stable in vivo and have a surprising intestinal mucosa penetration capacity, rendering them an excellent transmucosal administration platform for nanosystems, especially for oral administration. The present invention therefore includes the use of the purified pollen particles of the invention, particularly those incorporating nanosystems, for manufacturing a medicinal product, that is, a purified pollen particle of the invention, particularly those incorporating nanosystems, for use as a medicinal product. The purified pollen particles of the invention are therefore particularly suitable for use in manufacturing a medicinal product for transmucosal administration, such as oral administration, ocular administration, or nasal administration. The polymeric nanosystem mean diameter polydispersity index which can be used in the present invention is comprised between 0.1 and 0.5
