Optical diagnostic device that allows monitoring the state of perfusion in skin flaps non-invasively, comprising: an optical fiber; three or more light sources, each light source configured to emit at a different wavelength in the visible range, the light sources being coupled to the optical fiber; a collimator coupled to the optical fiber at an end opposite the light sources, intended to superficially illuminate a tissue of interest; a detector associated with the collimator and intended to capture light reflected by the tissue of interest, comprising a demodulator for each light source; and a control module connected to the light sources.

Aplicación en Dermatología y trasplantes de piel. Monitorización del estado de perfusión de colgajos de piel. - Sistema no invasivo y sin contacto, situado a unos 4 cm del paciente. - Utilización combinada de cuatro emisores LED en frecuencias específicas optimizadas para el correcto funcionamiento. - Adaptado a su uso clínico en general y quirófanos. - Detecta cambios de volumen en la zona quirúrgica. - Permite diagnosticar de forma temprana la presencia de hematomas que pudieran comprometer la anastomosis vascular. - No se basa en el nivel de saturación de oxígeno (INVOS). Estos sistemas utilizan pegatinas no estériles, conectadas por cables y solo dan resultados aceptables cuando la saturación de oxígeno está cerca del 100%. - Otros sistemas utilizan compuestos farmacológicos como la indocianina verde o láser doppler, que difieren bastante de la solución propuesta.
