Sustainable Development Goal:
Applications

The materials developed through this concept (proton transfer molecules encapsulated in MOFs) can be used in the development of vapor sensors for toxic compounds such as acids (HCl or others) or bases (triethylamine or others), used in a multitude of industrial processes. Furthermore, it is anticipated that this concept can be extended to the detection of any analyte (substance to be detected) that can donate or accept a hydrogen atom to the molecule encapsulated in the MOF.
