The invention relates to a product that can be used to protect concrete and other construction materials, which is able to waterproof or super waterproof the material to be treated. The product is able to penetrate into substrates with nanometric pores. The mixture is produced by simply mixing, using ultrasound, an oligomeric ethyl silicate, an alkyl triethoxysilane, a polydimethylsiloxane and n-octylamine. When required, particles are added to provide the product with super water-repellent properties.

The products described in this patent show: -a considerable increase in penetration distance in substrates with reduced pore size such as cement mortars, concrete and other cementitious materials with respect to products previously developed by the research group. -A higher water repellency and protection against water than commercial products available on the market due to their superhydrophobic properties. -Chemical interaction with the substrate, which ensures affinity with the substrate and good treatment durability.
