POLYURETHANE DEPOLYMERIZATION PROCEDURE
The object of the invention relates to a polyurethane depolymerization process based on mild reaction conditions and the use of an active reaction medium, stable over time and totally recoverable and reusable, through which a mass of polyol is obtained that is easily separable from the reaction medium that does not need to be subjected to a subsequent purification stage for its reuse in the synthesis of a new polyurethane.
- The process of the invention represents a sustainable alternative to the polyurethane depolymerization methods known to date, since it avoids the use of organic solvents. - The reaction temperature is less than 100ºC with the consequent energy saving - It does not require a subsequent stage of purification of the polyol mass resulting from depolymerization, typical of conventional processes by glycolysis before its reuse in the synthesis of new polyurethanes.
