Infusion Pathway Outlet Connector (CAVI)
EP19896862; PCT/ES2019/070847
The invention describes a device that allows the infusion and administration of fluids, serums and intravenous medications comfortably, avoiding the risk of leaving the routes when the patient moves the hand or arm. The Infusion Pathway Outlet Connector (CAVI) device consists of two tubular inlet connectors that define two primary liquid flow lines and an intermediate transverse tubular outlet connector that connects to the patient's line. The set consisting of "patient line-CAVI-infusion lines" forms a block that largely avoids the risk of leaving the patient line.
• It allows the connection of one or two infusion tubes in such a way that they do not come out of the device when the patient moves the hand or arm. • The ends of the secondary lines are separated from the surface of the patient's skin, thus allowing the connection / disconnection of the corresponding catheters without the need to completely detach the connector. • It allows the catheters connected to the respective routes to be parallel from the point of connection to said secondary routes, preventing them from following curved paths. • Allows its use in vascular access systems and in cerebrospinal fluid drainage systems.
