Reactor GRB-01, designed for the elimination and removal of emerging contaminants in wastewater from industrial, agricultural and hospital processes, has as a solution to the problem of dependence on the electrical grid, the device with a photovoltaic energy system. The technology provides a solution to ineffective traditional methods of wastewater treatment. This problem is solved by means of a dual autonomous system that allows wastewater treatment by means of two coupled modules. Emerging pollutants represent today a public health problem due to the inefficiency of current wastewater treatment plants for this type of pollutants. In response to this situation, the research group in Environmental Remediation and Biocatalysis - GIRAB of the University of Antioquia, developed the GRB-01 reactor.
