Applications

The use of a boron-nitrogen carbon nanodot material in the preparation of an electrode by electrografting using the reduction of diazonium groups on the carbon nanodot material would improve significantly the capacitance of the electrode. The invention shows that the formation of singular hexagonal nanostructures leading to the formation of a porous electrode that provides the required structure at microscopic scale to allow the electrode surface to store electrons, which results in an improved capacitance of the electrode.
