The invention relates to a dissipating connector for protecting structures against explosions, comprising a sacrificial panel (P) connected to the structure (E) which is to be protected by dissipating connectors for absorbing energy from explosions. The invention consists of a dissipator comprising a first dissipating body (D.1), a dissipating core (D.2) and a base plate of the dissipator (D.3), a stationary body comprising a box (F.1), a compressing punch (F.2), securing openings (F.3), grooves (F.4), retainers (F.5), a plate (F.6) for securing the stationary body and openings (F.7) in the plate for securing the stationary body, a detachable body comprising a sliding plate (A.1), ball bearings (A.2), a guide for the detachable body (A.3), a plate (A.4) for securing the detachable body and openings (A.5) in the plate for securing the detachable body, as well as a ball joint comprising a plate (R.1), a securing element (R.2) and a rotation-limiting pin (R.3).
The present invention relates generally to the field of construction of structures, more specifically to an explosion energy dissipating connector for the protection of structures against explosions, which comprises a sacrificial panel, connected to the structure to be protected through dissipative connectors capable of absorption of energy from explosions, significantly reducing and redistributing the actions transmitted to the structure.
