The low-power asynchronous solar sensor of the invention falls within the field of physical technologies, particularly within the area of microelectronic design of optical sensors in standard CMOS technology. Specifically, a new architecture is proposed for a very low-power, high-speed asynchronous solar sensor for preferred use in space navigation systems. The proposed architecture is adapted to the operating requirements of satellites with small size and dimensions that use solar sensors to navigate through space, and it also simplifies the additional hardware required for this type of application.
