CROSSLINKED COMPOUND OF METHACRYLATED LIGNIN AND OLIGOMERS OF CHITOSAN CAPABLE OF ACTING AS A NANOTRANSPORTER OF BIOACTIVE COMPOUNDS, METHOD OF OBTAINING AND USES
P202131019
The present invention describes a crosslinked compound formed by methacrylated lignin (LM) and chitosan oligomers (COS) of between 1500-3000 Da capable of forming an inclusion complex with a natural bioactive compound (CBA), thus acting as a nanocarrier. The invention also includes the method for obtaining said nanocarrier and its uses in the treatment of diseases and effects caused by phytopathogens in plants.

The nanocarriers of the present invention are capable of responding to external stimuli at the sites of infection, triggering a controlled release of bioactive agents. Bacteria and fungi associated with wood diseases that affect woody crops secrete certain enzymes that degrade lignin, acting on the COS-lignin complex of the invention, releasing CBA and thus destroying the pathogen.
A natural way to increase plant health.
