Protective device for vertical axis wind power generators and vertical axis wind power generator provided with said protective device which allows the use of said wind power generators in geographical areas with strong winds by providing means capable of reducing the external wind speed. It also provides the protective device with means capable of supplying a continuous turning movement which, regardless of the wind direction, is capable of pushing the blades of the wind energy generator in the same direction.
