The invention relates to a device for reducing the aerodynamic resistance of vehicles, comprising at least one panel to be secured to at least one edge of the rear side of the vehicle. According to the invention, at least the profile of the external surface of the panel has a curved shape optimised to reduce the aerodynamic resistance of the vehicle. For example, the curved shape can be obtained by implementing a parametric study together with numerical simulations that use the IDDES turbulence model.
