Production and commercialization of bio-based PCM

Bio-based phase change materials (PCMs) are prepared from oils and fats of low commercial value, such as those found in the by-products of animal origin not intended for human consumption. Bio-based PCMs show a substantial improvement of energy density performance compared to products with similar characteristics currently on the market. The application of this product focuses on the energy aspect, as a material to be used in thermal energy storage technologies.
