We have developed a novel delivery and packaging technology based on a fully natural, biodegradable, and plastic-free system, designed to enable high-performance topical formulations while meeting the latest European regulations on single-use plastic reduction.

Although originally conceived for the cosmetic sector, the technology has clear potential for integration into the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., topical drug delivery, dermatological formulations) and other fields requiring sustainable, stable, and safe single-dose or multi-dose packaging solutions.

The project has been developed in collaboration with an industrial manufacturing partner and a cosmetic company to ensure scalability, industrialization, and future market deployment. Overall, this technology contributes to the global transition toward green, circular, and environmentally responsible materials and products across multiple industries.

Applications

The prototype provides a sustainable and high-performance alternative for delivering topical formulations, with several practical applications:

Cosmetic products (initial application):

It can be used for creams, serums, masks, and other topical cosmetic formulations, offering a fully natural, biodegradable, and plastic-free packaging solution that maintains product stability and efficacy.

Future pharmaceutical applications:

The system can be adapted to dermatological or topical drug-delivery products, where controlled stability, safety, and environmentally responsible packaging are increasingly required.

Other industrial uses:

The technology can be extended to any field needing eco-friendly containers for semi-solid or liquid formulations, such as wellness products, personal care, or single-dose treatments.
