We have developed fibre optic sensor arrays for acoustic wave detection based on phase interferometry, which converts acoustic vibrations into highly sensitive photonic signals. This device leverages the interaction between acoustic and photonic waves to enhance the vibrational modes of the fibre optic, enabling the measurement of nanometric displacements with high sensitivity. It achieves this by detecting acoustic/vibrational waves in the frequency range of 5 Hz to 1 MHz.
