The Litecs Monitoring Station is a modular, cost effective, energy-autonomous platform designed for precision agriculture and environmental monitoring of flora and fauna. It supports easy integration of multiple monitoring modules, such as weather sensors, cameras, and microphones. Current work focuses on integrating an Asian hornet monitoring module, within the scope of the VespAlert project, to detect whether the species is present in a given area. A similar approach has previously been used by integrating microphones to monitor bat species.
