KOKU Bladder

KOKU Bladder is an international research and innovation project developing an eHealth solution to improve bladder health and manage urinary incontinence in adults aged 50+. This condition affects over 36 million people in Europe and costs €69 billion annually. The digital solution combines education, exercises, behavior-change strategies, gamification, and virtual support communities. Content is co-designed with users, health professionals, and experts to ensure effectiveness and acceptability. The project is currently at TRL 3–5, with pilot testing planned for early 2026.
KOKU Bladder is designed to prevent and manage urinary incontinence, promoting healthy aging. It empowers users through interactive education and gamified exercises, potentially improving adherence and quality of life. It can be implemented in healthcare systems and directly by individuals.
